Building a ROM from DTH's stock pose assets is the easy part. The work piles up when you add your own content — dozens of custom morphs, each on an exact frame, and Daz and Houdini have to agree on every single number. Miss one frame and the morph quietly breaks in Unreal, stages later. The studio turns that bookkeeping into a declaration: list your morphs once, and it generates both sides.

Frame numbers are computed, never stored. Both artifacts derive from the same definition — change the character, regenerate, and they cannot drift apart.
